Tired of hearing groans and grumbles from more "casual" fans every time you stand up and Cheer for the SMU Mustangs at Ford? Do you feel like the only one in your section who actually knows "Pony Battle Cry" and do you mumble the words "Spirit's the best in the Land" because you know it's not quite true? You're right, it isn't true...yet.
The Red and Blue Army is Southern Methodist's first independent football Supporters Group dedicated to uniting more-spirited Mustang alumni and fans and giving them their very own section in Ford Stadium. Our Mission is simple: To fervently do our part to help create a TRUE home field advantage for the Mustangs while at Ford. All passionate Mustang fans no matter what age, sex or creed are hereby welcome to JOIN this cause. Be part of something truly Revolutionary at Southern Methodist.

How do I Join?
In joining Red and Blue Army you’ will have two options. 1) You may mail a Check along with the attached Membership Card to 2728 McKinnon Street, Unit 825, Dallas, Texas 75201. Please make the check out to *Chris Chambers - SMU Red and Blue Army*. 2) Bring either Cash or a Check to one of our Recruitment Nights. Periodically, I’ will announce a get-together at a local Dallas bar or SMU event where members can Meet, discuss ideas and Vote on various items on our agenda.
Can my Friends Join?
Any-and-all Passionate Mustang fans are welcome to join Red and Blue Army. Young or Old. Boy or Girl. Recent Graduate or long-time Alumnus. We’ll even forgive members who didn’t go to SMU but want to Cheer on the Mustangs anyway and be part of something fun and New. If you purchase multiple Memberships at one time, your entire group will sit together. If you’ would like to sit near another member, please write that on the back of the Membership Card and I’ will do my best to make that happen.
I Already Have Football Season Tickets But I Still Want to Join?
\First of all, THANK YOU, secondly, LETS UNITE! For simplicity and sanity’s-sake, please purchase the tickets through the regular Membership route. I’ve spoken to the SMU Ticket Office and they have assured me that priority-credits incurred through purchasing your tickets through Red and Blue Army will be applied to your previous account. If you decide to leave, for any reason, the priority-Credits will go with you.
Where Will We Sit?
As a Member of Red and Blue Army I will always do my best to make sure we have the Best and most visible Seats possible. Many of the best seats on the HOME-side require a Mustang Club donation in addition to the ticket price. Although I Encourage all Members to donate to the Mustang Club freely and Generously, I also want to keep Dues down. Right now, I have Section 110/111 targeted, at least for Year One. It’s on the Home-side, near the tunnels where the Mustangs will run out and in an area where we can potentially be on TV and interact or Celebrate with players. In time, and maybe soon, other seating opportunities may open up, and if they do, we’ll take advantage. Wherever we sit, if you’re a Member you are Guaranteed to be in the middle of Action!
Will Boulevard Festivities Be Included?
Possibly. I plan on having a personal Tent on the Boulevard and, as Brothers and Sisters in Arms, you’re welcome to join. The more Members we Bring, the more fun we can have and it’s very possible that a small portion of everyone’s Dues will be enough to purchase an Official Red and Blue Army tent! We can Vote on adding that as a Member Benefit, even if it’ ends up being a supplemental cost. Red and Blue Army will and can be anything we want to Make of it. Sky’s the Limit.
